For use with hookah bowls: Simply put the safety grid over the tobacco bowl. If using foil setups, it prevents glowing hot coal from falling onto the floor, thus protecting against fire damage.
KAYA safety grids are stable and durable. The additional metal framing of the edges support the dimensional stability. Each protective grid has an excellent air flow rate thanks to its net-like structure. The unobstructed airflow ensures that the charcoal is oxygenated throughout and can burn evenly without the heat released by charcoal accumulating within the windbreak.
The safety grid can be used several times. Ashes and coal cannot fall from the bowl or out of the chimney, because the fine meshes prevent this. You can remove the grid from the hookah with a flick of the wrist to access the bowl and charcoal.
The open mesh structure provides an unobstructed airflow. It reduces heat buildup inside the windbreak and thus the risk of burning the tobacco. This also has a positive effect on taste and smoke development.
This windbreak is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. In the case of bowls built with aluminum foil, it prevents coal cubes from falling to the ground should they slip off the smooth foil due to vibration of the pipe.
The 2.5 x 4 millimeter fine metal meshes thereby reduce the flying of sparks and ash under the influence of wind. Even when the charcoal is deliberately lit, a large part of the sparks and ash particles flying around are successfully intercepted.
With a diameter of approx. 120mm, a KAYA safety grid can be installed on practically any hookah that has a coal plate with a surface area of at least 12cm in diameter. The use on a coated coal plate is just as possible due to the smooth edge as it is on an insensitive stainless steel plate - and that indoors as well as outdoors.
If you want, you can also use your safety grid as a windbreak for pillar candles without any problems.
